PSYCHO SKWERLZ WEEKLY UPDATE 05 DECEMBER 2018

INTRO:- Great night had by one and all at the Christmas Party in Kettle last Saturday. What a gas it was!! Thanks to Half Built House and Emma for keeping us entertained. Unfortunately our rendition of ‘Five Hunner Miles’ didn’t live up to the high standards at the Main Man wasn’t there to belt it out.

Good to see the ‘Trail Sunday’ contingent finishing their 9k route on my way to The’ Bob Stark Memorial Race’. Small but happy group this week. Remember, ‘Trail Sunday’ is every Sunday morning at 09.30 at The Community Hall.

LONDON MARATHON BALLOT

At the Christmas Party, seven names went into the hat with previous ballot winner Susanne Lumsden drawing the winner from the hat……….And the winner was…………..Bryan Innes!!. Mike Murdoch is first reserve with Chris Laing second reserve should Bryan change his mind!!!!!! (not).

TRAINING AT FIFE CYCLE PARK – THURSDAY 13 DECEMBER

We will be holding a ‘Hare and Tortoise’ event at Fife Cycle Park, Glencraig, Lochgelly on Thursday 13th December.

This is a unique opportunity for us to have a great training session under the floodlights. The outer loop is 1 kilometre in length

We have to facility and clubhouse for our specific use from 18.00hrs to 21.00hrs.

Basically we need a fast runner to team up with a slow runner who will both run 5 x 1k laps. When choosing partners please try to keep in in the ‘Spirit’ of the fun night. i.e. don’t have two fast runners in a team.

Please try to organise this between yourselves. Registration will be from 18.00 to 18.40 hrs with a 1k warm up for all then the Hares will set off for one lap and then pass the baton, (in this case a cracker), to the Tortoise. This will be undertaken 5 times in order to complete a 10k route.

Please feel free to bring along mince pies etc for afterwards. Entry £1 per runner.

The winning pair will receive a small Christmas Gift.

GRAND PRIX

Final results are now available to peruse on The Club Website

Prizegiving will take place on THURSDAY 20TH DECEMBER after a short training session.
