CLUB MEMBERSHIP
Anyone accessing Entry Central to pay next year’s subscriptions may have noticed that it is currently closed. The Site will reopen on Monday 25th March for those wishing to pay their subs. The subs will remain the same as in 2018- 2019. (£12). Scottish Athletics have set their Affiliation Fees at £7 per club member. In real terms for every Member they take £7 leaving the club with £5 per member for the Kitty.
Please Remember YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR OWN PAYMENT TO SA, should you wish to join their scheme.

AGM
The AGM of Falkland Trail Runners will be held on Thursday April 4th at the Community Hall after a Paarluff training session. Commencing at 19.30 the meeting usually lasts half an hour. Usual refreshments available. Remember if you wish to stand or you wish to nominate a member, (subject to their approval) to represent the club on the committee then please advise the Secretary seven days before the AGM at jim.close@yahoo.co.uk

It is important to remember that this is your club and with proper representation on the committee we can spread the work around. Even if you do not wish to be on the committee you may wish to volunteer for duties over the next year e.g.:- marshalling; assisting organising events, social events, etc.

THREE WEEK THURSDAY TRAINING BLOCK
Thursday 21st March – GROUP GENERAL RUN.
A few Skwerlz have asked if we could have a general run in the estate as it will probably the last opportunity to have a group led head torch session. Similarly many are taking part in the GP counter at Gartmorn on the Sunday
Thursday 28th March – HILL REPS/PYRAMID SESSION at Newton of Falkland
Thursday 4th April – PAARLUFF followed by AGM.
Tony will be undertaking the training schedule for the Summer months.

Notes:- *As per the constitution Management Committee Members are elected to serve for two years (24 months) beginning with the AGM at which they were elected. This means that Maureen Close, (Treasurer) and Jim Close (Secretary/Membership Coordinator), will be stepping aside.
Brian Cruickshank (President); Susie Harley (V. President); Nessie Kirkbride (Welfare Officer) Kevin Murray; Mike Murdoch, (both ordinary members) have served one term in office and therefore are deemed to be able to continue in their posts, unless unseated at the AGM by other candidates. Tony Martin was co-opted during 2018 and therefore will be subject to election.
**Amendment(s) to the constitution:- To propose the following on behalf of the outgoing committee:-
(i) In the event of no other person(s) wishing to stand against outgoing Management Committee /ordinary member or the committee, they may be granted another year of service to the members by remaining on the Committee.
(ii) Should an individual seek to display an interest in any post of the Management Committee from April 2019 that they have the opportunity to ‘Shadow’ the current post holder in order to ensure transparency and a firm grounding of knowledge is transferred to that individual AND
a) (iii) As per Scottish Athletics Template (Constitution Template) that ‘The Management Committee shall have the power to refuse membership to an applicant, where it is considered such membership would be detrimental to the aims, purposes or activities of the Club’.
Voting for any of the above election of members to the Management Committee or Ordinary Committee members and to the aforementioned three amendments to the constitution will be held on the evening by a ‘show of hands’. A straightforward ‘Majority’ will secure the outcome(s).
Anyone wishing to be nominated for members of the Management Committee including the posts of officers MUST be sent to the Secretary in time to be received not later than 7 days prior to the AGM. Nominations must be submitted in writing, by email or by online process or by other such process as will be notified to the membership.
